| | nostalgic | ] | More then 3 year back I had written a post on leaving Bangalore and yet again its time bid farewell to this city once again. This time I do not bid farewell to the city but the friends I have made over the last 2.5 years, the nook and crannies I discovered while on my photography expeditions and all the feeling that come with them. The feeling has started sinking in though I am trying to get around it by not brooding over it but thinking about the life that lies ahead...
Fare well. |

The Keys to Your Heart
|
You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free. |
In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven... the next moment hell. |
You'd like to your lover to think you are flexible and ready for anything! |
You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic. |
Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets. |
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment. |
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred. |
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily. |

| Which Religion ?? |
[Mar. 10th, 2005|05:57 pm] |
 | You scored as Satanism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.
Satanism | | 96% | paganism | | 92% | Buddhism | | 79% | agnosticism | | 63% | Hinduism | | 58% | Islam | | 50% | atheism | | 46% | Judaism | | 4% | Christianity | | 0% | </td>

[Feb. 17th, 2005|12:18 pm] |
Tring Tring !!
Reet: Why did u take so long to pic up the phone... Reet: Hey so what are you doing... Me: Ah just reading some stuff.
Reet: What ??? Me: Concrete Mathematics !!
Reet: Ummmm whats that? Me: Some maths stuff...
Reet: Why the hell ? Me: Becoz I got nuthing better to do and its interesting...
YADA YADA YADA....
Anyways I am reading this amazing book Concrete Mathematics by DEK which is supposed to be a prelude to the Art of Programming series. Its extremely good for people interested in the subject and I really dig the way its written. Its pretty humorous in place esp the comments in the margin. It almost feels like a nifty novel if you will.
Talks about series, sums, bionomial expansions, some bit of probability, hypergeometrics functions and the like.
But a word of caution - its really difficult to wade through this book. I can hardly manage 10 pages in a day, but I think its worth the effort :D |

I know it's late, I know you're weary I know your plans don't include me Still here we are, both of us lonely Longing for shelter from all that we see Why should we worry, no one will care girl Look at the stars so far away We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow? We've got tonight babe Why don' you stay?
Deep in my soul, I've been so lonely All of my hopes, fading away I've longed for love, like everyone else does I know I'll keep searching, even after today So there it is girl, I've said it all now And here we are babe, what do you say? We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow? We've got tonight babe Why don't you stay?
I know it's late, I know you're weary I know your plans don't include me Still here we are, both of us lonely Both of us lonely
We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow? Let's make it ast, let's find a way Turn out the light, come take my hand now We've got tonight babe Why don't you stay? Why don't you stay?

Now this is something I would call damn cute :D
Bought this book on Dash's recommendation. And it was worth every single penny... One book I wanted to keep reading indefinitely.
The protagonist of the novel is a 15 year old guy Christopher. He starts to investigate the murder of a dog that lived in the neighbourhood and starts writing a book on his investigation and how his life changes in the process.
Cool things I liked in the book -
Really neat way of hugging. Guess why I didnt think of it before :))
The chapters are prime numbered.
This d00d start counting powers of 2 when he want to relax. Aint that way toooo coool !!
The appendix which contains a proof
I would recommed this book to everyone !! Bet its gonna bring a bring a big grin on ur face when u r reading it.
Alas why did it have to end... *sighs* |

| Puzzle Time |
[Jan. 19th, 2005|07:58 pm] |
There are 5 houses that are each a different color There is a person of a different nationality in each house The 5 owners drink a certain drink. They each smoke a certain brand of cigarettes and also have a certain pet. No owner has the same pet, smokes the same brand of cigarettes nor drinks the same drink. The question is, "Who has the fish?"
Here are some clues:
1. The British man lives in the red house. 2. The Swedish man has a dog for a pet. 3. The Danish man drinks tea. 4. The green house is to the left of the white house. 5. The owner of the green house drinks coffee. 6. The person that smokes Pall Mall has a bird. 7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill. 8. The person that lives in the middle house drinks milk. 9. The Norwegian lives in the first house. 10. The person that smokes Blend lives next to the one that has a cat. 11. The person that has a horse lives next to the one that smokes Dunhill. 12. The one that smokes Bluemaster drinks beer. 13. The German smokes Prince. 14. The Norwegian lives next to a blue house. 15. The person that smokes Blend has a neighbor that drinks water. |

| Page Rank ?? |
[Nov. 23rd, 2004|04:33 pm] |
I just hate Google !!! A few months back my homepage used to be the top link when a search was done on my name and pretty high for some other rather exotic topics.... But suprisingly now it figures out on the 4th page :'-( I dont understand this... With the number or page linking to mine the ranking should have gone up, I do not understand why its gone down....
Hmmm but maybe I do.... The ranks are in order of the importance of the primary url...
Shit happens.. :(( |

| the final cut - PF |
[Nov. 19th, 2004|10:17 pm] |
one of my fav songs... heard it after a long time on Y! LauncCast.... So cold, and dark.... and piercing
the final cut
through the fish eyed lens of tear stained eyes i can barely define the shape of this moment in time and far from flying high in clear blue skies i'm spiralling down to the hole in the ground where I hide
if you negotiate the minefields in the drive and beat the dogs and cheat the cold electronic eyes and if you make it past the shotgun in the hall dial the combination open the priesthole and if i'm in i'll tell you what's behind the wall
there's a kid who had a big hallucination making love to girls in magazines he wonders if you're sleeping with your new found faith could anybody love him or is it just a crazy dream
and if i show you my dark side will you still hold me tonight and if i open my heart to you and show you my weak side what would you do would you sell your story to rolling stone would you take the children away and leave me all alone and smile in reassurance as you whisper down the phone would you send me packing or would you take me home
thought i oughta bare my naked feelings thought i oughta tear the curtain down i held the blade in trembling hands prepared to make it but just then the phone rang i never had the nerve to make the final cut
